A paper carrier has gone seriously aground in confined waters for the second time in under six weeks.

The 3,728-dwt paper carrier Lysfoss (built 1989) slammed into rocks on the island of Mull near Tobermory on 7 May, having previously run aground on the south coast of Norway in March.

A tug towing a crane barge was due alongside the stricken vessel at presstime to offload some of the deck cargo of containers.
