Shanghai Edward Shipbuilding continues to rake in chemical orders from European owners, this time securing three 14,000-dwt tankers from Donso-based Furetank.
The vessels are said to have been priced at $22m each and are slated for delivery in 2004. Furetank has also negotiated options for three more vessels.
Yard officials confirm the order but are unable to release any further information. The project team was in Sweden finalising some details as Trade-Winds went to press.
