Germany's Reederei Jungerhans has ordered two more container feederships at Rolandwerft and is close to doubling the order to four. Managing director Herm Jungerhans confirms the 700-teu vessels are pencilled in for delivery by the yard, which is part of the Detlef Hegemann group, at the end of June 2005 and December 2005.
There are no options attached but Jungerhans, the son of joint company founder Heinrich Jungerhans, says talks could be concluded by the end of next month for two 8,500-dwt sisters.
