Ideenkapital Marine Finance of Germany denies reports it has bought two 53,000-dwt bulker newbuildings sold by Norden.
The Diamond-53 ships are being built at Chengxi Shipyard in China for delivery in 2007 and 2008.
TradeWinds earlier reported that they had been sold for between $31m and $32m each and will be chartered back to Norden for up to five years.
Ideenkapital says its involvement with both supramaxes and Norden in the past may explain why the KG (limited partnership) company has been linked to the Chengxi vessels.
