A new dry-bulk operating company has been set up by Danish and US interests.
Nordic Bulk Carriers, based in Hellerup, Denmark, will target the handysize and handymax segments. It is a joint venture between US-based bulk operator Phoenix Bulk Carriers and the management of Custodia Shipping of Denmark.
Custodia had a fleet of around 25 ships until the market crisis struck last year.
