First of Dioryx boxship series named in the Philippines

Dioryx Maritime Corp of Greece recently held a naming ceremony in the Philippines for its 4,300-teu containership Argolikos .

The vessel is the first of the Papadimitriou family-owned company's series of six boxships to roll out of Hanjin Heavy Industries's new yard at Subic Bay. Its godmother was none other than Philippines president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

The Argokilos is also the largest ship ever built in the country.
