Andrew Barker and Michael Newbery, who worked side by side for more than
20 years at the West of England Ship Owners Mutual Insurance
Association, are back together, running a P&I operation for the Terra
Nova Insurance Co.
They hope to persuade many shipowners who are in the traditional P&I
clubs that they will sleep easier, without cash call nightmares, if
they convert to fixed-cost cover.
