The Shipowners' Mutual Strike Association gained a significant increase
in membership at the club's February 1 renewal.
The Strike Club - the leading insurer of delays to vessels - acquired
several hundred thousand tons of extra business, as it signed up new
members from 13 countries.
Club chief executive Bill Milligan says it was an "excellent" renewal,
but the gains are still being counted.
