State-owned shipping company Djakarta Lloyd is seeking funding from the cash-strapped Indonesian government to build 15 new feeder vessels at local shipyards.
Company officials indicate they are confident the project will get the go-ahead despite the current uncertainties surrounding the country´s economy.
Djakarta Lloyd, which celebrated its 48th birthday on Tuesday, will take delivery of the last vessel in its most recent newbuilding programme later this year.
