Greek owner Ocean Freighters is said to have fixed out its only capesize bulker, the 177,000-dwt Pontotriton (built 2007), for up to nine months to SwissMarine.
For the first two months, the ship is set to get a spot rate, currently less than $5,000 per day, and for the remainder of the period $10,000 per day.
For the owner it is a loss-producing rate given that the company bought the ship in March 2007 for a full $110m as Anangel Wisdom.
