Courage Marine has sold its only capesize bulker for scrap but company chief executive Hsu Chih Chien says its absence from the capesize sector will only be temporary.
Last week, Courage sold the 146,000-dwt Cape Warrior (built 1986) for demolition for nearly $8.8m. The vessel was the sole capesize in the Courage fleet, which will comprise two panamaxes and a pair of supramaxes when the Cape Warrior is handed over to demolition buyer Giant Power Group Ltd later this month.
