Coal traders in India with an interest in shipping are lining up for a lucrative supply contract involving a state-run utility company.

State-owned MP Power Generating Co (MPGENCO), based in the central province of Madhya Pradesh, is looking to import nearly 6.4 million tonnes of coal from Indonesia and Australia, according to sources.
