The merger of the fleets of ER Capital Holding and Komrowski Holding on 1 July has formed the world’s second-largest containership tonnage provider.
The newly-formed Hamburg-based Blue Star Holding ranks just behind leader Reederei Claus-Peter Offen. Both control fleets of more than 500,000 teu, according to the latest Alphaliner figures. That puts them ahead of Niederelbe (NSB), Seaspan and Peter Dohle/Hammonia which rank in third, fourth and fifth position respectively.
