The company says the vessels will be put back by a year to the fourth quarter of 2014 in a deal with Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding.
All other terms of the contracts are unchanged, it adds.
The vessels appear to be the first two in a series of four ordered in 2007 for $482.8m. London broker Clarksons lists ships three and four for delivery in 2014.
