New floating LNG (FLNG) development company Pangea LNG is kicking off with three development prospects in the US, Mediterranean and East Africa but has wider ambitions.

Chief executive Kathleen Eisbrenner, who unveiled her company’s involvement in two projects last week, says Pangea’s aspiration is to be engaged in eight FLNG developments in the next five years.

While former Excelerate Energy chief and Shell executive Eisbrenner is in the hot seat for the new venture, the Dutch-registered FLNG development company is 70% owned by South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co (DSME).
