The club made a $23.7m investment gain, equivalent to a 6.9% return, but a mixed claims experience contributed to an underwriting loss.
The profit, which followed a marginal loss of $0.4m the previous year, lifts the free reserve of the London Club to $154m.
The London Club says that although claims below $100,000 and those above $1m moderated, there was increased and higher claims values in the $110,000 to $1m band.
