The new Essex-based firm has already lined up a chartered cruise ferry for the route and plans to start operations next spring.

It has concluded a deal to charter, initially for three years, the 2,000-lane metre, 30,000-gt Zeus Palace (built 2001) from Grimaldi Lines, which bought the ship as Prometheus for $75m in 2004.

The company is seeking to raise NOK 85m ($14.2m)
