Taiwan’s Shih Wei Navigation is planning to sell off further tonnage in the New Year but says reports of a sale of two handysizes to Singapore’s Pioneer Maritime are premature.
Meanwhile, the company says it is planning to order 18,000-dwt to 19,000-dwt tweendeckers to a new design that it is working on with Japan’s Higaki Shipyard, which is expanding its physical plant to enable it to build the ships.
