PAG’s rescue of Copenhagen-listed Nordic Shipholding marks the first major step into the shipping industry by an Asian private-equity investor.

While the Nordic deal with PAG breaks new ground for Asian private finance in shipping, it is too early to tell whether it will be the start of a growing trend, experts say.
