Philip Fjeld has just walked away from the Flex LNG floating liquefaction venture that he co-founded in 2006 and has headed up as chief executive until last week.
He admits it is an odd feeling having “lived and breathed Flex LNG for more than seven years” but no longer to be part of it anymore. But he says it is something that makes sense given the current status of the company and the fact that a dispute with Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) over newbuilding hulls has now been resolved.
