Pioneer Marine set up shop in the Lion City of Singapore just four months ago but the fledgling bulker owner has already assembled a fleet capable of competing in an arena dominated by operators that have been in the game for more than a decade.
Since the company is led by Pankaj Khanna, the former lieutenant of Greek shipping mogul George Economou, it may not come as a surprise that its evolution has attracted a great deal of interest within the industry and on Wall Street despite efforts to keep a low profile during the early stages of a campaign to acquire tonnage.
