The 176,000-dwt DS Charme (built 2011) is said to have been fixed by Belgium’s Bocimar for 12 to 14 months at $23,500 per day. The vessel is owned by a German KG (limited partnership) company managed by Dr Peters.
Brokers say it is not often KG capesizes are fixed for period business these days. They see it is as a sign that this particular company is performing well.
