It is said to have fixed the 172,000-dwt CE Alliance (built 1999) from Centrofin of Greece for 11 to 13 months’ trading at $26,000 per day.
Delivery is in the Atlantic, which normally pays $2,000 per day more but the deal still looks strong from the owner’s perspective.
Classic is also said to have taken the 177,000-dwt King Sail (built 2002) for a longer period of 15 to 17 months.
