Market sources say the Bremen-headquartered company has ordered 10 MPPs of 12,500 dwt at China’s Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering for delivery between the second half of 2015 and early 2017.
It is not known whether the order includes options.
Zeaborn is said to be paying around $19m per vessel.
Shipyard officials decline to comment, citing confidentiality clauses.
Zeaborn was launched last year and is said to have a presence in ship financing, technical management and vessel operations.
