Per Wistoft joined United Arab Chemical Carriers (UACC) as chief executive in September last year. He describes the company as one that has been in limbo for the past few years.

The limbo he refers to stems from a 10-ship chemical-tanker order UACC placed in 2007 at South Korea’s SLS Shipbuilding, now known as ShinaSB. Because of the yard’s financial problems, all ships were late and only four were ultimately delivered.
