Tanker-market experts are predicting another strong year of US oil-products exports, despite a recent lull in fixtures during the chillier-than-normal winter.

The plunge came at the end of a record year for exports from the Gulf of Mexico (GoM), where the country’s oil glut has seen refiners crank out cargoes to take advantage of low domestic prices. Medium-range-two (MR2) tankers have been the key beneficiary of the growth.
