The Onomichi-built tanker is rumoured to be going to an undisclosed buyer for $30m, sources say.
“We have not yet started negotiating,” said a Scorpio source.
The company paid $47m for the tanker when it bought it from Japan’s Sanko Steamship in May 2010.
The vessel is not due for special survey until January 2018 and the price appears to be on the low side.
