Growth-minded Harvey Gulf International Marine is preparing a newbuilding programme for 2014 that could more than double its existing orderbook.
Chief executive Shane Guidry tells TradeWinds that the New Orleans-based offshore-vessel owner is aiming to build up to 15 additional newbuildings, to be ordered before the end of the calendar year.
“We will go out to bid real soon and see who is going to build them for us,” he said from his company’s Poydras Street headquarters overlooking the Crescent City.
