An LNG carrier set to lift the first cargo from ExxonMobil’s new PNG LNG liquefaction project has gone into drydock ahead of its charter.

Electronic data shows the 177,000-cbm Ben Badis (built 2011) entered Sembawang Shipyard at the end of March for a slightly delayed scheduled drydocking after being redelivered by trader Vitol.

The ship is understood to be undergoing normal maintenance work and will be renamed before delivery to the project at the end of this month.
