German shipowner and manager Bernhard Schulte is seeking offers from shipbuilders on a small-scale LNG carrier newbuilding.

Industry sources say the company has approached shipyards for a vessel of around 32,000 cbm.

Details remain scarce but the indication is that the ship could be required for inter-European trading, including possible LNG imports into northern Germany.
