Golar LNG calls in the cavalry with former boss

Golar LNG’s former chief executive, Gary Smith, is making a comeback both to the world of LNG and the company he previously headed.

John Fredriksen-controlled Golar announced that Smith, who was Golar Management chief executive for almost five years from April 2006 until July 2009, “has agreed to return” to provide commercial support in relation to vessel chartering activities and development of its floating LNG (FLNG) production activities.
