Interest in ethane as a product that may require dedicated shipping is on the rise.
US exports are forecast to grow, which in itself can be a factor guaranteed to generate excitement in some shipping investor circles. But gas shipowners watching the sector point out that, as yet, there is little detail on the likely volumes.
US outfit Enterprise Products is said to be planning to build an ethane export facility in Texas but, to date, has not unveiled the location of the planned plant.
