Japan’s NYK is to take a stake in two LNG carriers that have been contracted by Knutsen OAS Shipping against long-term charters with Spain’s Gas Natural Fenosa.
TradeWinds understands that the partners, who are expected to make a formal announcement on their LNG hook up shortly, will split the ownership of the vessels on a 50:50 basis.
The pair have been working together on crude oil shuttle tanker business through Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers (KNOT).
