Rumours making the rounds of the cruise industry suggest that US-based Prestige Cruises is in discussions with Fincantieri over a possible two-ship order for its Oceania Cruises division.
Few details about the project are known and Prestige officials were unwilling to offer up any comments when contacted by TradeWinds this week. If the orders go ahead, it is likely that the ships will be similar in size to the two 66,200-gt, 1,200-passenger vessels Marina and Riviera, which Fincantieri delivered to Oceania in 2011 and 2012.
