Hamburg-based Hammonia Reederei has emerged as the buyer of a wide-beam post-panamax boxship.
The German managing owner has purchased the 4,800-teu Box King from Greek owner Paragon Shipping for $41.2m, according to brokers.
The vessel, which has already been renamed Hammonia America, is scheduled for delivery from Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding this month. It is one of four of the CV Neptun 4800 design ships under construction at various yards in China.
