The Harry Vafias-led outfit is in talks with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) for two firm 22,000-cbm semi-refrigerated vessels, plus two options.
HMD officials decline to comment on Stealthgas but says several companies have approached the yard for gas carriers.
“The demand for LPG newbuildings continues to be strong,” said one. “Our shipyard is in discussions with both existing and new LPG players.”
