Norwegian offshore specialist shipbuilder Vard has this week firmed up the largest single vessel contract in its history after Solstad Offshore moved ahead on an order for a massive 180-metre offshore construction vessel (OCV).
Oslo-listed Solstad signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the ship in March.
The hull of the Vard 219 design will be constructed at Tulcea in Romania and then outfitted at Vard Brattvaag in Norway.
