Company officials blame the difficulty of getting an FSRU unit for a period of one to two years and the high charter rates charged by providers.
They indicate that after state approval has been obtained from the Andhra Pradesh authorities for the project at Gangavaram Port, Petronet is likely to move straight to issuing a tender for the construction of the five million tonne per annum (mtpa) onshore plant.
