West Africa LPG has doubled its order for midsize LPG carriers at South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD).
The company has declared an option for a 38,000-cbm vessel set for delivery in the first quarter of 2017. Sources believe it is costing $53m.
West Africa LPG, the joint venture between Nigerian National Petroleum Corp, Ocean Bed Trading and Sahara, made its debut as a shipowner in May, contracting a midsize gas carrier at HMD for delivery in 2016.
