Eagle Bulk Shipping has filed a US lawsuit after Chinese charterer Dalian Suntime International Transportation allegedly failed to pay hire and bunker costs from the first day of a time charter.
The New York bulker owner’s Owl Shipping subsidiary, which owns the 57,800-dwt Owl (built 2011), lodged the case in Miami’s federal court aiming to capture funds there that the Chinese company is poised to pay to Duferco Steel.
