It was purchased from now collapsed Today Makes Tomorrow (TMT) in 2008 for a full $170m as G Elephant but chartered back to the Taiwanese owner for three years at $75,000 per day.
Tesoro has also taken the 299,000-dwt Cosgrace Lake (built 2002) for a year at $24,750 per day.
In the suezmax segment, Koch has secured the 159,000-dwt Aegean Angel (built 2004) from Greek owner Arcadia for up to two years.
