Salient principal Brian Jones is transferring from Montreal to be the New York member of a small but global team.
Although perhaps best known for its connection with Isle of Wight-based Carisbrooke Shipping, Salient is 100% owned by Jones, with one-broker shops in Singapore, Vancouver, Montreal, Miami, the Isle of Wight and now New York.
Jones says about 30% of Salient’s business is from Rio Tinto and around the same amount from Carisbrooke, if the overlap with the Rio Tinto business is counted.
