A leading participant in global engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) work, McDermott will use its 151-metre heavylift pipelayer DB 50 (built 1988) on the contract.
Starting in the fourth quarter, the DB 50 will carry out a side-lift of Megalodon’s 3,300-ton jacket and place its 2,100-ton topsides at Timbalier Block 311 in 391 feet (120 metres) of water in the GoM.
