TradeWinds understands the company has teamed up with IM Skaugen and is planning to offer a service where one of the Norwegian shipowner’s 10,000-cbm to 12,000-cbm multigas carriers will load via a ship-to-ship (STS) operation from the FSRU Golar Freeze.

From there, the multigas vessel can take the LNG to a nearby anchorage designated by Dubai Ports Authority, since venting is prohibited in the port area, and transfer it to a waiting LNG carrier via STS transfer.
