Polish Steamship (Polsteam) is having a busy summer, increasing its orders for handysize bulkers in China and selling a second panamax bulker in the space of two weeks.
The 73,000-dwt Orleta Lwowskie (built 1991) has been sold for demolition in India for a full $497 per ldt, or $6.7m. The high price is explained by the fact that it was built in Denmark and trading grain cargoes has helped to keep it in good condition.
