A hearing opened and closed at London’s High Court this week over whether Russian businessman Yuri Nikitin has a right to have damages — which he claims are a result of his financial assets being frozen during the case brought against him and others over nine years ago — assessed.

The action was brought by Nikitin, who is understood to be claiming around $184m plus interest as a result of two freezing orders put on his assets in 2005 and 2007.
