Some 22 LNG carrier newbuildings remain on the books to be delivered this year and, according to the last published advice around, one-third of them belong to Golar LNG.
What distinguishes the Golar ships from the bulk of the second half 2014 LNG deliveries is that all of the seven ships pencilled in for handover before the end of this year were ordered on speculation and do not, as yet, have any firm employment or commitments to projects.
