Houston-based broker Pacific Chartering Services has asked a US judge to seize a German limited partnership (KG)-controlled bulker after taking over manager Intersee Schiffahrts’s claims against the ship.
The lawsuit, filed in the US federal court in Syracuse, New York, targets the 29,600-dwt Fritz (built 2010), which is owned by one-ship MS Fritz Schiffahrtsges.
It seeks $1.08m in total claims and interest, according to the lawsuit filed by lawyers at New York law firm Eaton & Van Winkle.
