Nine vessels of between 1,100 teu and 2,500 teu have been sold in the latest en-bloc disposal of shipping assets by the German bank, say market sources.
The vessels are thought to have attracted interest from potential buyers, with a number of bids placed around the $80m mark, according to brokers.
However, an unnamed buyer stepped in to secure the deal after making a clean offer to the bank and waiving inspections, they say.
