Eagle Bulk Shipping chief executive Sophocles Zoullas has won a three-year employment contract under terms of a restructuring agreement that will see another bankrupt company put ships into the hands of Oaktree Capital Management.
The terms should dampen talk that Eagle’s assets could end up under management of fellow public company Star Bulk Carriers and Greek shipowner Petros Pappas — at least for the near term.
